Dominic Calvert-Lewin's late equalizer secured a dramatic 2-2 draw for 10-man Everton in a thrilling Merseyside derby against Liverpool. The result deals a major blow to Liverpool's Premier League title hopes, while it represents a significant step towards safety for Everton.
Everton had taken an early lead through Richarlison, but Liverpool hit back through Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah. The Toffees' task was made even harder when Mason Holgate was sent off in the 83rd minute, but Calvert-Lewin's superb finish in the 89th minute ensured Everton would not leave empty-handed.
